PATIENT GROUP

The Brackley Health Centre Patient Group meeting was held on Tuesday 25^th October 2011.   Sarah Hyatt, who is representative from the award winning Nene Commissioning, gave a presentation to the meeting explaining where we are with commissioning in Northamptonshire.  She spoke about the Health & Social Care Bill and the planned reforms for the NHS subject to the bill becoming law.  Sarah also mentioned about the Nene patient group (Involvement) and Pulse which is a NHS Northamptonshire patient group.

Dr Perrott gave an update on the proposed new Primary Care Centre.

Heather Dedman said that the Practice had now migrated to a new clinical system (SystmOne) which integrates fully with the community nurses and the ‘out of hours’ service.  SystmOne is a web based system and the doctors have full access in the Kings Sutton surgery.

A patient survey will be taking place over the next couple of months.

At the last meeting in August 2009 Dr Cargill gave a presentation on Prescribing and Dr Perrott gave an update regarding the new Health Campus for Brackley.

At the last meeting in June 2008 Dr Perrott gave a presentation on developments with the new Primary Care Centre for Brackley.

It is envisaged that the practices will work on one site with community and specialist facilities in line with current thinking on the future of general practice.
